The Good Shepherd Education Fund (EdFund) exists to ensure that no child is denied an education because of poverty. Across Sabah and Perak, we walk alongside children from vulnerable communities, offering not only financial assistance but also consistent encouragement, guidance, and care so that each child has a real chance to remain in school and realise their full potential.

At the core of this work is our Sponsor-A-Child for Education programme. Through this initiative, benefactors invest in more than school fees; they invest in a child’s future. We work closely with schools, community leaders, and families to ensure that each sponsorship is managed responsibly and meaningfully. Regular follow-ups and home visits allow us to understand each child’s circumstances, track their progress, and respond early to challenges, whether academic, social, or emotional.

Our commitment is rooted in dignity and care. We seek to empower children, affirm their worth, and uphold their right to education, believing that sustained support and compassionate engagement can break cycles of disadvantage. When a child stays in school, the impact reaches beyond the individual strengthening families and nurturing hope within the wider community.
